Join us as we celebrate Day of the African Child with the World Forestry Center and Harambee Centre
Day of the African Child is a day to celebrate the progress made in health, education, equality and protection for all of Africa's children. The festival will educate people about the cultural variety and overall spirit of Africa through music, dance, storytelling, food and an African Marketplace.
Salem World Beat Festival
Saturday, June 27th 10 am - 11 pm and Sunday June 28th, 11 am - 6 pm
Held in Salem's beautiful Riverfront Park on the banks of the famous Willamette River, the Salem World Beat Festival is a two-day, non-stop program of international music, dance, food, hands-on crafts and folklore. Three costumed processions and more than 125 performances, demonstrations and workshops take place throughout the weekend. In addition to cultural exhibits, food, clothing and gift items, each of the festival’s World Villages includes a children’s area with free, hands-on cultural crafts.
